2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit the website, the server automatically processes information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system.

This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in operating the website securely and reliably. Log files are deleted after [NUMBER] days. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the host in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.

3. Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we process your email address to keep you informed about news, insights into development and test phases of MUD & WIRE. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

Sign-up uses a double opt-in process: after entering your address, you receive an email in which you confirm your sign-up. We log the time of sign-up and confirmation as well as your IP address so that we can prove your consent.

We use Brevo to send the newsletter. The provider is Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. Your email address and sign-up details are stored and processed there on our behalf. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Brevo GmbH in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, which ensures that Brevo processes your data only on our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link in every email. Once you unsubscribe, your email address is removed from the mailing list.

4. Fonts

This website uses the fonts Big Shoulders Stencil, Barlow Condensed and Source Serif 4. They are stored locally on our server and loaded from there. No connection is made to servers of Google or any other third party.

5. Web analytics with Plausible Analytics

To understand how this website is used, we use Plausible Analytics. We run Plausible ourselves on our own server, so no data is transferred to Plausible Insights OÜ or any other third party.

Plausible works without cookies and does not store any personal data. It records the page visited, the referring page (referrer), browser, operating system, device type and country. To count repeat visits within a single day, a hash is created from the IP address and browser identifier and encrypted with a random value that changes daily. The IP address itself is not stored, and the random value is deleted after 24 hours. Recognising a visitor across several days or across other websites is therefore not possible.

This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in measuring the reach of the website and improving it. Data is evaluated only in aggregated form.

6. Cookies

This website does not use cookies.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the German federal state where you live or where we are based.
